Three things you must know during pregnancy

By:Iris Views:584

  1. First physical examination

  The first physical examination of pregnant women includes asking about family history and personal medical history, measuring basal blood pressure, weighing, listening to the heart and lungs, Gynecology Check and test urine, liver function, etc.

  2. Create a “pregnancy health card””

  After the doctor confirms pregnancy, pregnant women should immediately create a "pregnant woman health card" and safely spend the pregnancy, delivery and puerperium under the guidance of the doctor.

  3. Calculate the expected date of delivery

  Pregnancy usually lasts more than 9 months. During these nine months, the embryo transforms from a simple cell into an extremely complex organism composed of millions of cells. At no other time in the entire course of life does one grow as rapidly as in this small period of time.

  Once the pregnancy is confirmed, the time when the baby will be born can be estimated, which is known in medical terms as the "due date."

  To calculate the expected date of delivery, just add 9 months and 1 week to the first day of your last menstrual period. For example: the last menstrual period is January 1st, add 9 months to October 1st, add 1 week (7 days) to October 8th. October 8th is the due date.

  Actual delivery may occur within 2 weeks before or after the due date.

  For women who menstruate every 3 weeks, their pregnancy period should be 280 days - 1 week = 39 weeks;

  For women who menstruate every 4 weeks, their gestation period should be 280 days = 40 weeks;

  For women who menstruate every 5 weeks, their pregnancy period should be 280 days + 1 week = 41 weeks.

  If your menstrual cycle is irregular or you cannot remember the date of your last menstrual period, you should calculate it based on a gynecological examination in the early stages of pregnancy.
