There is no unified standard answer for the conditioning cycle of digestive disorders. Mild symptoms can be significantly relieved in 1 to 2 weeks if the adjustments are in place. If the disease lasts for a long time, is combined with long-term emotional problems or has basic gastric problems, long-term adjustments may be required for 3 to 6 months or even longer.
I just met a kid who was a senior in high school last month. He was under great stress during the mock exam and couldn't eat for half a month. He suffered from bloating and acid reflux when he ate. He went for a gastroscopy and everything was normal. It was simply a digestive disorder caused by short-term stress. I adjusted his diet and asked his parents not to dwell on his grades all the time. He took 10 minutes a day to go downstairs and walk around the neighborhood twice. After 10 days, he was back to eating normally.
Not everyone can recover so quickly. I have met many friends who have been ill for more than a year. They have eaten a lot of stomach-nourishing porridge and imported probiotics but have not seen any improvement. Some people even think that the root of the disease cannot be cut off at all and that they need to be treated for a lifetime. Speaking of this, there are two rather extreme opinions. One thinks that as long as you eat the right supplements, you will be cured in three to five days. The other thinks that this disease is a "chronic disease" and you cannot touch spicy ice cream in this life. In fact, both opinions are a bit biased. The former only sees mild symptoms and short-term onset, and ignores deeper triggers such as emotions and work and rest. The latter mostly relapses repeatedly and fails to find the right adjustment direction, and gradually loses confidence.
I have an old acquaintance who works as an auditor. He has been busy for 3 years, and has suffered from digestive disorders for more than 2 years. He has diarrhea when eating cold food, and even vomits when he is stressed. He spent nearly 20,000 yuan on products to nourish his stomach, but it was useless. He changed his mind in the second half of last year. I don’t have to stay up late every day or have to work with clients. I adjust my work and rest slowly. I play badminton for half an hour when I have time. I don’t deliberately eat any expensive food. After more than half a year, I occasionally eat hot pot with ice Coke with friends without getting sick.
In fact, our gastrointestinal tract is very sensitive, just like a kitten at home. If you scare it every day and don’t feed it on time, it will definitely get angry and hide. It’s useless just to stuff it with the most expensive cans. You must first make it comfortable, have a regular schedule and relax, so that it can be willing to function normally.
There is another pitfall that many people fall into. They feel better after just two days of feeling better, and immediately go back to eat and stay up all night. As a result, they relapse within a week, which prolongs the overall conditioning cycle. In fact, after the symptoms disappear, it is best to consolidate the adjusted habits for two or three weeks, leaving a buffer period for the stomach and intestines to recover. On the contrary, the symptoms will be reduced and the recovery will be more complete.
If you have been adjusting for a month or two and are still not feeling better, it is best to go for a gastrointestinal endoscopy to check whether there are any organic problems. Don't hold on to it and delay things.
