Download the first edition of the vaccination guide
The first is the popular science resource download column in the "Immunization Planning" business area of the official website of the National Administration of Disease Control and Prevention, and the second is the data download entrance in the "Science Popularization Service" section of the menu bar of the official public account of "China Disease Control and Prevention Updates". There is no paid download channel. All related resources on third-party platforms marked with "pay to obtain the full version" and "exclusive supplementary version" are not official original versions and are not recommended for downloading and use.
To be honest, I went through a lot of pitfalls when I was looking for this guide. When I first searched for the first few links on a search engine, I either clicked on them and saw medical beauty ads that filled the screen, or I had to pay 5.99 yuan to download the full version. I paid the money to save time. When I came to take a look, I found that the cover of the old version of the children's vaccination guide in 2019 had been changed. The vaccination procedure for meningococcal meningitis vaccine was still the old 4-dose schedule, but now it has been changed to 3 doses. If you really follow this to arrange vaccinations for your children, it might be delayed.
Later, I asked a friend who worked at a community vaccination clinic and got the official resources. This guide was compiled by 37 front-line experts from immunization planning, pediatrics, infectious diseases, and geriatric medicine at the end of last year for almost 8 months. It is also the first time in China that vaccination recommendations for all age groups are integrated into the same guide, ranging from the first dose of hepatitis B vaccine for newborns, to the joint vaccination plan for pneumonia and herpes vaccines for the elderly over 80 years old, and even the vaccination evaluation process for immunodeficiency groups and patients with tumor radiotherapy and chemotherapy are clearly written.
But what’s interesting is that when this guide first came out, industry reviews were quite polarized. Several grassroots vaccination doctors I know complain that the guide is too detailed. The vaccination contraindications for people with allergies are listed in 12 major categories and 47 sub-items. Normally, the clinic has to see one to two hundred people a day, and there is no time to check them one by one. On the contrary, it is not as fast as the previous simplified version. However, the volunteer group of parent science popularizers in our community regard this guide as a treasure. Every time we held a science popularization meeting, parents would ask, "Can children with milk protein allergies be vaccinated against MMR?" ”“Can I get vaccinated after taking antibiotics? ”In the past, different doctors may have given different opinions, but now you can just read the guide. The official conclusion will be convincing even if you show it to parents.
If you find it troublesome to download the electronic version, you don’t have to look for it at all. Most community vaccination clinics across the country now have a free paper version that you can pick up. It is printed on coated paper and comes with a tear-off vaccination schedule sticker. You can put it on the refrigerator at home and read it at any time. It is much more convenient than the electronic version. My grandma went to get a flu shot last month and got a copy of it. It was printed in large letters and had colorful pictures indicating which vaccines were required for the elderly. She understood it better than I did.
Oh, by the way, if you really can’t find the download entrance to the official website, don’t just click on unfamiliar links. The official version of the PDF has two anti-counterfeiting points to check: one is the light gray “National Agency for Disease Control and Prevention 2024” dark pattern in the lower right corner of each page, and the other is the immunization program consultation phone numbers of 31 provinces and cities across the country are attached at the end. Anything without these two is not the original version, so don’t use it indiscriminately. If you really can’t find it, leave an email in the comment area and I’ll send it to you when I see it. Anyway, they are all free public resources, so you don’t have to pay IQ tax to a third party.
