Circumcision is usually performed by means of circumcision or stapler surgery. Circumcision surgery is mainly used to treat phimosis or redundant foreskin. The surgical procedure must be performed by a professional doctor under sterile conditions.
Circumcision is a traditional surgical method. The doctor will first apply local anesthesia to the penis area, remove the excess foreskin with a scalpel or scissors, and then suture the incision and use a dressing to wrap it. The operation is short, and there may be slight pain and bleeding during the postoperative recovery period. The dressing needs to be changed regularly and the wound needs to be kept clean. Foreskin stapler surgery is completed with special instruments. Cutting and suturing are completed at the same time through a disposable stapler. The operation time is shorter and the amount of bleeding is less. The postoperative pain is less, and the staplers usually fall off on their own in about a week. Both surgeries require preoperative blood routine and coagulation function tests to rule out surgical contraindications. You should avoid strenuous exercise and penile erection after surgery to prevent wound dehiscence, and wear loose underwear to reduce friction. Eat a light diet and consume more high-quality protein and vitamins to promote wound healing.
After surgery, cefaclor dispersible tablets should be used as directed by the doctor to prevent infection. When pain is severe, ibuprofen sustained-release capsules can be used to relieve symptoms. Erythromycin ointment can be applied locally to prevent wound infection. No showering is allowed for one week after surgery, and other parts of the body can be wiped with a wet towel to keep them clean. If symptoms such as persistent bleeding, severe pain or fever occur, you should return to the hospital for examination immediately. No sexual intercourse for one month after surgery, and avoid straddling during the recovery period. Regular check-ups are performed to ensure that the wound is healing well, and most patients can return to their normal lives two to three weeks after surgery.
