Postpartum That is what we often refer to as the puerperium (we call it the puerperium 6 weeks after delivery). In fact, various organs related to the mother and pregnancy slowly return to a non-pregnant state. This does not include the recovery of the breasts:

      1. Postpartum Uterus recovery

The recovery of the uterus after childbirth is mainly about the slow recovery of the muscle fibers of the uterus to those before pregnancy.

      2. The second step is the recovery of the cervix. During delivery, the cervix will be dilated until Child Delivery comes out. The enlarged cervix also needs to recover slowly after delivery.

This recovery process is about 6 to 8 weeks, and everyone will definitely feel this process: sometimes you will feel stomach pain, which we call uterine contraction. If you are breastfeeding after delivery, this feeling will be more obvious. When the child sucks milk, it will stimulate uterine contraction, but after two or three days, you will slowly adapt to it, and the pain will not be so obvious.

      3. There is vaginal discharge. Everyone knows that it is bloody at first, then slowly turns into sauce color, then slowly turns into white, and it will return to cleanness in about 4 weeks. If it has not recovered in 40 days, check to see if there are any abnormalities.

      4. Colostrum is usually released two or three days after delivery, and this colostrum is very precious. Mature milk will be formed after 2 weeks. The content of mature milk and colostrum has changed somewhat. At first, there was more protein, and then gradually, the protein decreased, fat and lactose became more.

In addition, experts also remind that the breasts will not return to their original state. The uterus should slowly return to the pelvic cavity at 6 weeks and cannot be touched from the abdominal wall. Normal secretions should be clean. Generally, the pain will be relieved within a few days after delivery.
