Wild ones can catch them in summer; breeders can catch them all year round. Scald with boiling water and dried in the sun or oven.

　　【application】

　　1. Injuries from falls, tendons and fractures, bruises, swelling and pain. This product is salty and cold, enters the blood, mainly enters the liver meridian, has a good wandering nature, can activate blood circulation, reduce swelling and relieve pain, repair muscles and bones, and is a commonly used medicine in traumatology department, especially for fractures and tendons, blood stasis, swelling and pain. It can be ground into powder alone for dressing, or ground into rice wine and taken with rice wine; clinically, it is often used with natural copper, Drynariae rhizome, and frankincense, such as Zijin Dan ("Miscellaneous Diseases Source Liu Xi Zhu"); in the later stages of fractures and tendons, if the muscles and bones are weak, it is often used with Dipsacus Dipsacus, Eucommia and other medicines, such as Zhuangjin Xugu Pills ("Traumatology Dacheng").
