If girls often wear high heels, it will affect their development.

As we all know, girls are in the period of puberty and development, and their foot bones, spine, and pelvis are immature. The bone structure contains more cartilage components, and the bone tissue contains more water and organic matter and less inorganic salts. Bones are soft and can easily bend and deform under the action of external forces. High heels will become an external force. Girls wearing high heels prematurely will cause changes in the shape of the pelvis and feet.

The pelvis is a bone ring formed by the sacrum, coccyx, left and right hip bones, ligaments and joints. The bonding process of this bone ring generally starts at the age of 7 and is basically finalized by the age of 25. The pelvis is an important structure for transmitting gravity in the human body. When wearing flat shoes, the whole body weight is borne by the whole foot; when wearing high heels, the whole body weight mainly falls on the soles of the feet. This destroys the normal gravity transmission load line, increases the load on the pelvis, and easily causes the pelvic orifice to become narrow, making childbirth difficult for adults.

In addition, wearing high heels may cause the pelvis to shift unnoticeably, affecting the normal combination of the bone rings, leading to pelvic deformity. The development and maturity of the foot bones is approximately 15 to 16 years old. The size of the shoe directly affects the growth of the foot bones.

Wearing high heels too early will cause the foot bones to complete the ossification process according to the angle of the high heels, which can easily lead to metatarsophalangeal joint deformation, metatarsal bone fractures and other foot diseases. These diseases can cause foot pain, and in severe cases can affect walking and activities.

Therefore, adolescent girls should not wear high heels, especially those with a heel height of 7 to 8 centimeters. From a biomechanical point of view, it is best for girls to wear wedge heels. Wearing wedge-heeled shoes, the body's center of gravity neither moves forward nor backward, which not only prevents muscle and joint damage, but also avoids excessive tightness of the posterior calf muscles caused by wearing flat-heeled shoes.
