Why are my testicles itchy and red the more I scratch them?

(1) It is more common among manual workers, especially in summer, when the vaginal temperature is high, sweats profusely, is moist, and has poor air permeability. The scrotal skin is affected by sweat soaking and underwear friction, causing itching. This can also happen if you wear tight jeans or non-absorbent and non-breathable nylon underwear.

(2) Riboflavin (vitamin B2) deficiency can lead to scrotal inflammation. Changes such as erythema, dryness, scaling, papules, and scabs appear on the scrotum, accompanied by itching. At the same time, angular stomatitis, glossitis and oral ulcers may also occur.

(3) Scrotal inflammation caused by fungi, such as candidal scrotalitis and tinea cruris involving the scrotum, can cause scrotal itching.

(4) Neurodermatitis and eczema in the scrotum can cause itching.
