Adolescents have limited access to sexual knowledge

Most students said they learned about sex through books and magazines, and only a few said they learned about sex from their parents. Among the female students surveyed, one statistic is even more surprising: not one of the nearly 1,000 female students is willing to discuss sex-related issues with their father. At the same time, the proportion of teachers in imparting sexual knowledge is also inversely proportional to the age of students. 44% of junior high school students’ sexual knowledge comes from teachers’ education, 4% of high school students, and 0% of college students.

The older girls are, the more conservative they are, and the boys are more open-minded.

Among the students surveyed, an interesting data caught the attention of the staff at the Girls Rescue Center. In a survey on whether girls regret having sex before marriage, the rate of regret gradually increases with age. On the contrary, boys regret less as they get older. During the survey, students generally believed that the proportion of sexual knowledge acquired in school should be increased.
