Underwear is usually required when wearing safety pants. The main function of safety pants is to prevent exposure or absorb sweat, but it cannot completely replace the sanitary protection function of underwear.

Safety pants are mostly designed to be worn outside as a base layer. The materials are mainly polyester and cotton, and the breathability varies depending on the style. Direct contact with the skin may cause discomfort due to friction, especially in summer when sweating causes bacteria to breed. The pure cotton material of the underwear fits the skin of the private parts better, can effectively absorb secretions, and reduce the risk of urinary system infection. Menstruating women need underwear to secure their sanitary napkins to avoid side leakage.

In a few cases, underwear may not be worn temporarily, such as sports safety pants designed with an antibacterial crotch, or in temporary emergency situations. However, not wearing underwear for a long time may cause infection due to insufficient cleaning of safety pants. People with diabetes or low immunity need to pay special attention.

It is recommended to choose non-marking underwear with safety pants to avoid strangulation marks, and give priority to high-waisted menstrual underwear during menstruation. Safety pants should be changed and cleaned daily. If itching or rash occurs, stop using them immediately and seek medical advice.
